New Bourjois Spring Beauty Launches

Bourjois is definitely one of my favorite medicine store beauty brands, so I’m always very excited about their new releases. I was recently kindly sent some of her new spring beauties, so I thought I’d give you a sneak peek at the new launches you can expect at your Local Bourjois counter. There are new products for the face, eyes and lips and I was very impressed with some and not so impressed with others! I hope you enjoy learning a little more about them.

The initial is the product that I have been waiting for the most, the brand new “Colourband” eye pencils and liners. The reason I was so excited to try them is because I care about the convenience of my makeup and I like to use products that I can wipe off and walk around, and that’s exactly what they are. Thanks to the pen-style Applicator, you can spread them on the lid and leave.the shades are all quite neutral and therefore adapt to all skin tones.

I have “Minimalist beige”, a peachy champagne color, “Baroque mauve”, which, as the name suggests, is a pretty purple color, “Dadaist brown”, a beautiful Bronze, and finally “abstract black”, which is a deep black and can be used to create a smoky eye or as a liner.”My two favorites are the minimalist Beige, because it’s nice to create the inner corners of the eyes or as a touch of color all over the eyelid, and the Dadaist brown is incredibly worn below the lower lash line, to achieve a smoky evening look, I find that the bronze shade really complements my black eye.

Then come some new additions to the Color Boost Lip Crayon range. I love these lipsticks – they are pigmented, shiny and moisturizing on the lips, so they are perfect for everyday use. I also really like the new color additives – they are more mature and mature than the previous range. The shades I have are “proudly naked”, a beautiful pale peach, “Sweet Macchiato”, a beautiful naked brunette (very Kylie Jenner) and finally “Pink Of It”, A Beautiful Berry Pink, it’s right up my street! I love them all!

Finally, there are two new liners and a face powder. There is both a Liquid Liner and a pencil and both are labeled “Ultra Black”. So if you like a super black lining look, these are for you. I have to be honest and say that I don’t care for the Liquid Liner ‘Liner Brush’ because it has a brush tip that I find really difficult to use. If you’re not very good at applying liquid liner, I’ll stick with a pen applicator. However, the Liner pencil is very pretty-it’s a Super black shade which is exactly what I like my Liner pencil, and it goes well with the waterline. I also like that it’s a twisted style, because it means I don’t have to play to sharpen it.

As for the face powder “Silk Edition”, I have two thoughts about it. I like the compactness in which it comes and the fact that it has a 360-degree rotating mirror, but I’m not entirely convinced by the powder itself. The Bourjois claim that the formula is inspired by silk, which blurs imperfections and mattifies the skin while offering ultimate comfort and a feeling of bare skin. I certainly agree that it is very light on the skin, but my problem is that it is simply not very pigmented and does not transfer very well. I feel like I have to apply a lot of it before I get the matte effect it claims, and even then I wouldn’t say that it does a great job of makeup. It’s not a terrible product, but compared to my Mac Mineralize Skinfinish natural, it’s not even comparable and I’d much rather spend the extra!
