Monthly Favourites March

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great Easter weekend. I took a little break from blogging just to relax and get my head around everything. I’ve been totally busy with Blogger Block lately, but these few days off have helped, and I’m now determined to create some great content for you all. I still feel guilty for not posting for more than a few days – please tell me I’m not the only one? Anyway, to be more clear, I had a lovely Easter with my family and friends and I can’t believe it’s April now – this year is flying past me, which feels like the blink of an eye. However, I am looking forward to the heater weather, my next month of vacation and the reintroduction of all my favorite spring products into my Routine. Here are some beauty items that I have been loving lately…

The wet brush*

Since my hair is bleached and super long, I really struggle with tangles, but since the wet brush has entered my life, tangles are a thing of the past. I use it every time I wash my hair and it makes detangling so much easier! Apparently it’s because of the “Interlliflex” bristles on the brush, and although I’m not sure what they are, I’m going to roll with it.

Use a high forehead*

From Monday to Friday, I’m pretty lazy with my makeup and the only time I do it “right” is when I go out at night. I am just one of those who prefer to have ten more minutes in bed! That said, all super easy-to-use products are welcome in my makeup bag. The High Brow Advantage is one of these products because it brightens my eyes in a few minutes without the need to brush my eyes. I just dab it on my eyebrows and in the inner corners of my eyes to be a little more awake. It’s a beautifully shimmery champagne shade and I tend to wear it on its own without any other eyeshadow. It’s fabulous!

Elemis Marine Cream-Pro-Collagen

I’m sure I’ve mentioned it several times on my blog now, but it’s for a good reason because it blooms so well. Elemis is my favorite skin care brand and its Pro Collagen Marine Cream is one of my favorite products-it has a super light gelatinous consistency, but it moisturizes my skin incredibly. If I use it before bed, I can be sure that I will wake up with soft, lush and radiant skin – it really is a miracle worker. It’s an expensive product and probably not for someone under the age of 20, but if you’re 20 and over and want to invest in a moisturizer that really works, it’s 100% worth it. Elemis recently sent me one of his limited edition glasses and I can’t wait to dive inside when my little tubes are empty!

Bourjois ‘Fuchsia Perch’ Aqualack*

I recently tested the new Bourjois Aqua Lacquer lipsticks on my Blog here and I really liked using the “Fuchsia Perchie” shade in particular. It’s a beautiful bright pink shade, but due to the fairly pure and shiny consistency of these lipsticks, I find it perfect for everyday use. It brightens up my complexion and I love the way it stains when the shine fades. I always prefer the Red Velvet Edition, but for everyday use, it was a favorite This month.

Sienna X Q10 Bronzing Foam*

Now the sun is coming out (juhu!), it means that my thick black tights, woolen sweaters and turtlenecks will be kept Until the next A/W. It also means that shorts and summer dresses are making their way into my wardrobe, even if I hate it, it’s time to tan. I find the whole tanning process very tedious, but this Sienna Tanning mousse makes it a little easier because it spreads so easily on the skin and the color it leaves is so natural and streak-free. This is definitely my dummy tan!

The Vintage Curler Cosmetics Company

Another thing that I mentioned in a favorite is these curlers from the Vintage Cosmetics Company. I have been using them for a little over a year and I love them. I actually lost my old silver pair and I hated not having it, so I decided to buy the rose gold version for myself because you know Rose gold is the best! I can’t say much about it unless you need good curlers that don’t cost a fortune. They curl my eyelashes perfectly and the curl lasts all day. I can’t blame you!

NIP & Fab Dragons blood Serum*

Nip & Fab is fast becoming one of my favorite skincare brands and I imagine it will be one that many people will try since Kylie Jenner became the face of the brand. I tried the Dragonblood product line and the most outstanding for me was this plump serum. I used it morning and evening and I noticed a big difference in the structure of my skin. One of the main mixtures of Hyluaronic Acid, known to contain up to 1000 times its weight in water, hence the “plumping” effect you get with this product. I highly recommend it!

Advantage Hoola Sunbathing*

Bronzer is one of my favorite makeup items and not a day goes by that I don’t use it. I always define my cheekbones with a bronzer and Benefit Hoola has been my goal lately. I like that it is matte, so it is ideal for contouring and although it has a slight orange tint, I don’t mind because it heats my complexion well.

ghd curve soft curlers*

I’m a big fan of ghd’s and have been using their Straighteners for years, so I was very excited to try out the recent addition to their hair tools, the GHD curve, a range of curling irons and tongs. I have the “soft Curl” clips and I chose these because I like big loose waves attached to tight curls. I have to admit that I had a hard time with this the initial time and I thought it was a little difficult to use. However, after a little practice, I liked the effect it gives to my hair. By wrapping large strands of hair around the Clips, I can create the beautiful Hollywood Glamour effect that I was hoping for because it is not easy to achieve with flat irons. I will do a full review soon with pictures of my hair!
